Most of you Jeff's story but here is a little known fact. Jeff and I went to Panama together in December (65) after Ranger School. We were assigned to the same Battalion and roomed together in the BOQ there. We hadn't been there more than a week or two. And I'll always remember answering the phone one evening. The caller was a young woman we had met at Happy Hour some time before. She was calling to see if Jeff would escort her to the annual CZ festival. Of course I told her that I would be happy to have that honor, but she really wanted Jeff to be her escort. So, I made her promise to get a date for me. Well, Jeff took her to the festival, fell in love and married her and I was introduced to Anita who became my wife. |
