Dennis and I were linemen on the Army football team, or down in the trenches people that coaches seemed to ignore unless you did something wrong, like let a back run over you, or jump off sides, or be blocked by two 280# linemen from Syracuse. It was a fun time with all the sweat and gore that we went through, just to be on the team and play football. Then several years after graduation, Dennis was a very diligent Super Bowl Host in his favorite hotel in Las Vegas. We had fun in the "trenches" again and played games all night. It was a fun time for those associated with Army football '65, and a welcomed break on those weekends. He was a great guy and a person everyone admired for his hard work and his hard play. |
