| One of my most treasured memories of Johnny was when John Seymour and I visited him in his home town a few years ago while on our way to a class golf outing in Myrtle Beach. After a very gracious greeting from Mary at their beautiful and historic home, Seymour and I drove Johnny to the town's finest restaurant (as Johnny described it) where we were met by Johnny's younger brother Oliver, who was also a West Point graduate. We had a lot of fun as Seymour related stories about John T., or "Tilly," as he called him. It was a wonderful evening. Now, John Seymour, "Tilly" and Oliver have all left us. I bet they are all together now in heaven swapping stories again. |
