| As kind and gentle as he was athletic and determined. A highly respected officer who was upbeat and positive in the darkest of times. Admired and respected by everyone he met. Got to know him and Mary and their children well when we served together in the 3/8 Cav. in Mannheim, Germany and were neighbors in 1979-80. A true southern gentlemen married to beautiful Mary with the loveliest South Carolina accent I have ever heard. Rest in peace, dear friend |
