| Johnny Johnson was one of the most genuinely friendly and athletically competitive people I have ever known. Every time we were together I felt like he treated me as a close friend, and he always wanted to know about everything that had transpired since the last time we were together. John and Mary Johnson are a couple whom Karen and I have greatly admired and respected, and we always wished we had been able to be together more often and to have known them better. When I think of Johnny Johnson, I see his face with its characteristic broad smile that makes everyone around him feel good about being in his presence. Johnny was a very special USMA classmate and officer who was widely known and will be missed by all his family, classmates, and friends. Johnny Johnson will always remain in our memory! May God bless and comfort his family and friends. |
