| I first met Dave in 1956 when our fathers were assigned to the C&GSC, Fort Leavenworth, KS. First year I was a student's kid while Dave (and his brother John) were staff kids, but he made me feel welcome. We all attended Leavenworth Senior high where the Vann brothers were the leaders of our golf team. Following our graduation from LHS we both chose the Prep School route to gain our admission to west Point. Dave has always demonstrated an intense pride and loyalty to the Army and West Point. I am glad to call him a friend and to shared numerous interactions in these psst 59 years. Be thou at peace |
