I met Don when we joined E-2 at the beginning of plebe year. I remember him especially from that year. I was impressed that he seemed to take the hazing & hassle well, didn't let too much upset him. I appreciated his friendliness and smile. To me he was just an all-around good guy. I seldom saw him after we went to different companies cow year, but always enjoyed seeing and talking with him years later at class reunions. In short, very fond memories of Don, very sorry to see him leave us much too soon. Preston Hughes |
