Be Thou At Peace

Posted by D.R. 'Chip' Terrill USAFA '70 on May 15, 2017:

Don was my Sunday school teacher from 1956-1958; Congregationalist Church Charlevoix, Michigan.

He went to West Point, I went to USAFA. He was stationed at Ft Carson when I was at USAFA and his home was my Colorado getaway. Shot pool, baby sat his twins and for many hours, we talked about life. He was my guru in many ways.

We were both stationed in DC in the early '70's and were able to continue to have some long talks about life which we continued to do when I went to work on Capitol Hill and Don stayed on active duty.

Had hoped he and Davita could visit me in Jupiter near her folks home in Stuart, but alas some good things never come to pass.

Have missed talking to my guru over the years.
