| I first met Jon in the early 1990s. He was a pioneer in the field of alternate dispute resolution. In particular, he was among the first (if not the first) mediate half-day disputes. His resolution rate was impressive. Later, after I had left the bench and became a member of the Houston Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Council, I served with Jon. He was a professional in every sense and more than anything, Jon valued relationships. I among many were blessed to know Jon. I think of him often and I will miss him. |
