Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Roz Ruby on April 22, 2020:

In the Jewish faith, Jose would be called a mensch, a person of integrity and honor, a do-gooder. With much passion, Jose guided his actions. Not a man to sit on the sidelines, he gave, spoke and acted as his heart took him.

Personally I saw how he walked the walk with my soul-mate, Don Kurtz. He was a wonderful friend to Don. Too many to list, Jose helped Don during the good and bad days during his battle with young onset Alzheimer's disease. Steadfast to the end, Jose was helpful with Don and he allowed me to lean into him when I needed support.

His faith and generosity spread across many borders. Often he aided his wife and brother in laws as well as his aunt and other loved ones. If he saw a cause he was irrepressible as Step previously stated.

Well done, be thou at peace and let Don take your hand now.
