Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Paul Singelyn on May 26, 2009:

The best memories of West Point are the people, and Chet was best of the best. He hailed from the town of Eagle River up in northern Wisconsin. A thoroughly good and decent person, he was the kind of guy you want your daughter (or granddaughter) to marry, and someone you are proud to call friend.

Chet loved singing in the Glee Club, and was even able to teach me a few notes. He had the big strong heart of a cross country runner, and would do anything for you. Regardless of the uniform, Chet wore a big smile; his optimism and sunny disposition were infectious to all. Nobody didn't like Chet.

I last saw him on graduation day. He headed west, and I east. I still miss "Rooms".
