| Spot and I were Boy Scouts together in our hometown of Richmond, VA. You knew at that time he was a special type of young man. In the summer of 1960 we were together for Basic Training at Fort Jackson, Company B Second Battalion. Spot was doing this while he waited for his West Point appointment. Spot knew he was an Army man all the way. I still admire him after all these years. |
