Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jay Vaughn on April 6, 2021:

Bill "Knoler" Connolly escaped from D-1 and became a part of the H-1 Band of Brothers. He was a constant positive force and friend to all his class- and company-mates. He was known in intermural football for his distinct bow-legged running style and on the rugby team as a fierce competitor. He continued his rugby association with the USMA club into his 70's.

Bill was a huge part of his grandson's lives. He would often call for a visit while they were at swimming practice. He was intensely proud of all of his grandchildren, as they were of him.

Knoler will be sorely missed by his H-1 brothers. He was truly one of the good guys and an inspirational leader and an unforgettable character we were lucky to have known.

Rest in peace dear friend.
