| Dick was a fellow infantry platoon leader and good friend in the 1st Battalion, 22d Infantry. Together, we went through Fort Lewis training, troop ship deployment, and kept close track when the other was out "beating the bush" with his platoon. He was killed by enemy fire leading his platoon. Dick was a great guy. |
