| Bob was my plebe year roommate, and later my enthused handball opponent and partner for many years. It was from him that I learned hockey players were lacrosse players without the genteel manners. Bob had a wonderful ability to find something good in everyone and everything. From West Point, to Fort Holabird, to the Pentagon, to New Jersey, he remained a good friend and I greatly admired him.
