Be Thou At Peace

| Bob was my roommate in K-1 and my lifelong friend. Even though a long time might pass between meetings, he made it seem as if there had been no time at all, and that I was the person he most wanted to see. People thought of us as an odd couple. He told stories about me that made me glad he remembered, and I will always tell stories about him, because he was so large in my life. When I got the news of his passing, I could not believe it and though I was at his services, I still cannot accept or believe that he is gone. He seems with me as much as he ever was, I can still hear those lacrosse balls bouncing off the walls of our room above my head, and the sound comforts me. |
