Be Thou At Peace

| Tom and I were roommates during "Cow" year at West Point where we became lifelong friends. We roomed together again during the last third of First Class year when Tom was commander of Company A-4 and I was executive officer. Over the years we enjoyed good times together and shared each other's joys, triumphs, and heartaches. Tom's greatest attributes were his intelligence, integrity, loyalty, athleticism, and sense of humor. His active duty service in the Army was one of outstanding achievements, including command of an engineer company in Vietnam, District Engineer of the Ohio River Valley, and high level staff at the Pentagon. He was equally successful serving with various organizations in Hawaii after he retired from the Army. Tom was a loyal friend and I miss him very much. |
