| I knew Jim from grade one through and beyond high school. He was tops in his class and always the best athlete. He took his studies seriously and not a one of us in the class of 1962 at Julesburg High School in Colorado were surprised at his appointment to West Point. My last communication with him while he was still a Cadet was in person in his hometown of Julesburg. I was in the Air Force at the time and Jim encouraged me to go for officer candidate school. He was always encouraging to others. He died early and he is missed by all of us who really knew him well. May you rest in peace my friend. |
