I was then Captain Arthur's radioman in Co C 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. I put him in for a Silver Star for his actions on May 3, 1969. He received it. He was an outstanding officer. He would look at the maps in the morning and not again all day long and knew exactly where he was; a photographic memory. He cared deeply for his men and would not take unnecessary risks. I would love to locate his son and/or daughter 612-408-5731 |
