Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ed Hathaway on August 10, 2014:

I met Rance when we went to Hawaii for Army Orientation Training (AOT) in 1965 and were roommates. Two days after arrival he got sent to the "Big" Island for training with the "Wolfhounds" while I stayed in Oahu with the "Golden Lions". We became good friends. Then in RANGER school in the sawdust "pits" I had to face Rance with a pugil stick and he knocked me silly (Tall Rance vs 69" Ed). But Rance was always outgoing, friendly, and a person one could rely on. Thanks for the memories, Rance. You are the epitome of a West Pointer and Soldier. We will miss you.
