Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ted Tedesco on April 26, 2013:

I was a personal friend of Tim from Watertown High School in upstate New York. We were on the same Football team (he was my right end), basketball team and track team.

Tim was a very bright student and just a great guy to be around.

I learned of his passing in April of 2011 as I was trying to find out who was going to attend our 50th High School reunion. I hadn't seen Tim since we graduated from High School and was hoping he would be attending.

After our 25th reunion in 1986 (Tim didn't attend), I came back home to California and made about 7-8 phone calls thru out the country and finally tracked him down in Texas. We had a great conversation on the phone (reliving our good times growing up in Watertown).

He shared with me some of his Military experiences in the Army (including combat) and I thanked him for his service.

Tim was the type of guy that mothers would like their daughters to marry and fathers would like to have as a son. He always seemed to know and do the right thing. He was the kind of guy (leader) you would want to be with - if you had to go into combat.

It has been said in various ways that people are never forgotten until the last time their name has been said on this earth or the last person they have influenced has passed away. I can say that Tim has not been forgotten in my small place on our planet. His "Honor, Character and Integrity" have helped shape my life and I have passed these characteristics on to my children.

I miss you buddy and look forward to seeing you in the future.
