Pat Keating and I roomed together for at least one year, during Yearling year. Pat was always one that you wanted on your team, no matter what the game, because you could always count on Pat giving the Team 110% effort in every situation. He was like a bulldog with a bone; don't even think about taking that bone away! I was Pat's best man when he married Merimac in Dunn, NC. What a great couple if there ever was one. The last I was in touch with Pat after we graduated, was when he was assigned to the ROTC Department at Clemson University, as an Instructor. Pat was not happy with this assignment, and he wanted to volunteer for Vietnam again. We will all miss Pat, and remember him for his outstanding intellectual and physical ability. |
