Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Don Murphy on August 29, 2016:

Lou obviously was an exceptional soldier and person. His inner strength, values, and actions in helping others were unmatched. How many soldiers served back to back to back tours in Vietnam? He is in a class by himself as far as I know. Only a few served back to back and even doing that is admirable and way above the call of duty. Lou obviously knew that the odds of his continued survival decreased greatly with each extension and each new day in the combat environment. Nevertheless, he stepped forward and gave his all to the very end. Lou, your example and selflessness is a big and timeless inspiration to everyone.
