Dear Walt, Wally, Butchie - You've had quite a life for a poor boy from Buffalo, New York. You were always larger than life to me; more dedicated to your calling than I could have ever imagined. I wish you love. You never spoke about Vietnam; you always remembered your fellow cadets who died there. It was my hope that "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" would have changed that. Your smiling eyes, knowing chuckle, and wonderful personal and military presence will always remain in my mind.
