Be Thou At Peace

Posted by MG (Ret) James Jackson on October 3, 2014:

I, like many, first met Doc while he was the Bn S1 and upon arrival at the newly organized 2/75 late in 1974. He immediately told this young Lt to go get a haircut. I was fortunate to serve with him for several years, while he was the 2/75 S1 and S3...both jobs demanded much....which he provided with a unique style that was only his. He was a great role model and leader. He always made an effort to help those who asked for his time and advice. He was a great officer, Ranger and friend. All of us privileged to serve with him, took a small piece of Doc with us, he made all of us better and he enjoyed doing it. He will be missed. RLTW.
