His Find-A-Grave memorial: Franklin Gordon Zophy 16 May 1946 Oneida, Madison County, New York, USA 1 Apr 2023 (aged 76) Burke, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA BURIAL Arlington National Cemetery MEMORIAL ID 251666811 Gordon Zophy passed away on April 1, 2023, in his home with his wife, Judy, of 54 years and his family by his side. Gordon was born in Oneida, New York. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a master's degree at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California in engineering. Upon graduation he served as an army officer in Viet Nam and Korea. After leaving the military he worked for Booz-Allen and Hamilton and Delcan as a transportation system analyst. In retirement Gordon enjoyed playing golf and spending time with grandchildren. He was a true patriot and a man of honor and integrity. He is survived by his wife, son Peter (wife Heather), daughter Dana, brother Bruce Zophy, sister Pam Sherwood; grandchildren Connor Barnes, Cade Zophy and his great grandson. Parents Franklin G.
