I first met Rich during the summer of "Beast Barracks" fifty years ago this summer. We remained friends and company mates all the way through the Academy. The things that I remember about Rich even after all those years are his laughter and great sense of humor, and his ability to always see the positive side of any situation. He was a great character, always larger than life, always ready to give encouragement to everyone. My wife and I out got out our yearbook this morning and looked at the pictures of Rich, and it seemed the years just melted away when many old memories came back. The world is a less bright place with the passing of dear Rich. Blessings to his family and friends. |
