Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Gordon Tillery on July 18, 2015:

Jerry was a one-time roomate at West Point, but always a good friend. He was full of energy and excitement, and lived life to the fullest and with a great sense of humor. Once you met Jerry, you knew him; he shared himself; he made you his friend. And he loved football. After Cadet grey the Army took us on separate pathways, but once I barely missed an opportunity to link-up with Jerry. I reported to the pentagon to learn he just left the position I was taking. He moved ahead to more important jobs, but left behind a huge, deserved reputation for job excellence and "big shoes" to fill. Every one who knew Jerry called him a good friend, a fun person, and a good presence in their lives. It is my great regret that I was not able to know Jerry in our later years.
