I served with Dolf in Co.B 2nd Platoon 2/5th Cav in 70-71. He arrived right after we left Cambodia. We needed Officers since the Capt. and a Lt. had been killed in Cambodia. I was one of his three Squad Leaders. Dolf was the finest officer I served under and great man. We all found each other again around 7 years ago. My only regret is that we never got together in person since Viet Nam. A truly great man is gone and I miss him! I also never sent him the pictures with the tiger. I hope someone else did. |
