Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Sheridon Groves on August 7, 2018:

Every time I see a perfectly tied tie knot I think of Doug. Here's why: To this day I can't tie a Windsor knot. The '4-in-hand' knot I tied would have gotten me written up daily. Doug tried to teach me, but failed like all the others. So as the 1st day of Plebe academics began Doug tied my tie for me. Long story short I didn't untie it till graduation day 4 years later. (When I sent it to the cleaner I attached a note: 'DO NOT DISTURB KNOT').
I loved his warmth & sense of humor. A truly good guy.
