Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Philip Coyle on January 12, 2023:

I first met Bill in 1974 at the Field Artillery Advanced course at Ft Sill. We shared a common back yard there. During the course, we became very good friends and managed to replicate our assignments for the next 18 years in the Army and then 15 more years in civilian life. He was a talented athlete, as I learned in competing with him in golf, tennis, basketball and softball, both in the Army and in retirement. He had a quick wit and was always available when I needed a friend to rely on. In our time together for 15 years at ASM Research, we often worked on the same projects, developing personnel models for the National Guard and the Army Reserves. Bill always had the can-do attitude when we would get bogged down trying to figure out the logic needed to build those models. Failure was not a word in his vocabulary. I will miss him greatly.

Rest in peace, Bill
