Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Patrick G. Grattan on February 27, 2010:

I was one of Jay's roommates our plebe year at West Point. As it turned out, I chose to leave after the first semester. I subsequently graduated from UC DAvis and then from UCLA law school. Tonight, sitting at the computer and thinking about people I had known years ago who made an impression on me, I started to think about Jay. I did a search and discovered he had become an attorney, like me, but died two years ago. I am sad that over the 45 years since I left the academy I have never taken the initiative to make contact with him and now he is gone. Jay was a smart, athletic, happy and relaxed person as I knew him way back then. He was a wonderful roommate and friend. If anyone who reads this can tell me about his life and eath, I would be most appreciative.
