Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Paul Salazar on December 13, 2006:

Paul was a good friend of mine and a marvelous person. I remember him often. He was always so full of life and a person you were always happy to be around.

When we were at Ft. Benning together, my wife, Jan, and I were having several of my classmates over to eat and watch the Super Bowl. As I recall, Paul was uncharacteristically late. When he arrived, he told us that he had pulled the front end of his car up on the curb so that he could get under it to change the oil. After draining the oil, he added the requisite amount back in the engine , started it up, and oil flew everywhere! He had in fact, drained the transmission and overfilled the engine with oil! We all had a wonderful laugh over that.

Paul is missed by his friends and family. I know this, because, as I mentioned, I think of him often. He was that special.
