| I had the privilege of getting to know David over the phone during the last few years of his life. His initial contact with me had to do with an injury he received during our last airborne jump into Florida during Ranger school, "Guts and Danger, Seventh Ranger," in 1970. Although we were never able to assemble information that would have factored into his VA Disability, the exercise led to a telephonic friendship he always seemed to enjoy, and which also led to the sharpening of the sorrow of his loss. May he rest in peace. |
