Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Karl Ivey on October 24, 2006:

Mel and I spent Cow summer in Panama on AOT. Mel and I frequently met in the bar of the Hilton Hotel where we would experiment with various "adult" beverages. Mel introduced me to Cherry Herring, the Danish cherry liqeur and to its powerful hangovers. While we were assigned to different companies and did not have much interaction except on weekends, Mel was a fun guy to be around and was always ready with a yarn or story to pique your interest.

I was saddened to learn of his loss and know that he is sippin' on high with a glass of Cherry Herring over ice in each hand!
