Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mel Hancock on January 4, 2014:

We first met in the 9th grade, playing sports. I can never remember calling him anything but Beaver, a nickname he had because he looked like the TV character. But unlike Beaver Cleaver, our Beaver was a success in everything he did. He was probably the best athlete in school and a great student and friend. He still is admired by everyone. His success at West Point was because of his work ethic, on and off the field as a Flying Eagle. His greatest accomplishment was the love of his life "sweet Lori". Many of us attended his funeral at West Point, 40 years ago. Gone but not forgotten. Love Mel.
