Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bill Bahr, USMA '69 on February 15, 2022:

From the "Howitzer" -- 1969

Robert Steven Hoffman, Franklin, Minnesota, E-3

Bob entered West Point as a rugged individual from Minnesota's smallest town and was dismayed to find that it was not an eastern trade school for boys. Having overcome this early obstacle, "the Chief" set records for being the easiest-going guy in anyone's memory. Academics were never a problem for Bob and he and his Brownboy were often seen together long before taps. Intelligence, a sense of humor, and a refreshingly unique approach to life cannot fail to make Bob's future a success.

Catholic Acolyte 3, 2; Newman Forum 4, 3, 2, 1; Football 4, 3; Baseball 2. Field Artillery.

USMA classmate, may you rest in peace.
