Be Thou At Peace

On a hot R-Day in July 1965 my spirits were lifted by a smile and a wink from my fellow 9th Company New Cadet, Dave Dunaway, who had been a class behind me in high school in Bourne, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Dave and I would spend four years together in the 4th Regiment and when we'd see each other we'd often reminisce fondly about our Cape exploits. When we were Yearlings, Dave reintroduced me to his high school classmate, Eileen Clinton, with whom I fell in love, married and have spent together the last 44 years. Dave was so very special in so many ways and Eileen and I will miss him terribly. Our love goes out to Nancy and Keely for their loss. Casey Brower |
