I had the privilege of meeting Chuck when he served a brief Army Reserve training tour and was assigned to my A-Team at 10th Special Forces at Ft Devens, MA. Turned out he had commanded the same team while on active duty, several years before me. He was, indeed, a gentle giant with a huge heart. In that very short time, he won the complete respect and admiration of all those on the team with his humility, humor, character and high integrity. Be thou at peace. Terry Carr USMA 1977 |
