Alan Mack Glazner

West Point, 1969

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Vince Corica on January 7, 2024:

I was lucky to room with Al in C-2 a few times. His love of West Point, his classmates, and his vision of being an Army officer was exceeded only by his determination and his pure and gentle heart. I understand that Al served two tours in Vietnam. This is a distinguishing accomplishment in any West Point class during the Vietnam era, and especially distinguishing for our class.

Al deserved all the best in life, and I pray he had it. I was delighted to spend nearly all my time at our 50th 1969 Reunion with Al. Could he tell stories! He was funny yet noble and philosophical.

I regret not staying in better touch with him after the Reunion. We do not get an infinite number of chances to be a good friend. Rest well, noble brother. Be Thou At Peace
