Be Thou At Peace

Posted by H. Steven Hammond on April 7, 2007:

Glen (along with twin brother, Karl) was not only a USMA classmate, but also a high school classmate from Highland Falls High School, just outside West Point's Thayer Gate. Glen and Karl and I ran in the same pack all through high school. In fact, his younger sister, Terry, was my steady for about two years before I met Marilyn. Couple of years later, Glen and I ended up assigned together in Vietnam. I was with him just days before his unit moved out for what would be his last roll call. I remember we joked about the past and prayed for a future. Fate would not be kind to Glen. But I know he went home to the Lord doing what he felt called to do. He will never be forgotten, especially by those fortunate to call him friend.
