Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Cor Westerhoff on January 25, 2002:

I take great exception to the musings of the note left before mine. It claims that Ken's death was a great tragedy; and so it was. It was not, however, for no cause or with no purpose. Ken was someone with impeccable character and strength of convictions. He went to Viet Nam because it was his duty and that in itself was noble purpose. He also went because he had enormous faith in his God and he felt that his life would flow to God's purpose. It is tragedy only to those surviving that he left so soon. Ken walked a path he felt was God's will. Who are we to question if that was noble purpose.
As testimony to his legacy there are those of us who still look up his name; some thirty years after his passing.
