Be Thou At Peace

I had the good fortune of sharing several classes with Pete as a cadet and have followed the reports of his condition since first learning that he had been struggling. He brought lots of good cheer and positive spirit to all around him. As we all approach the waning years of life on earth, we should continue to keep our trust in the hope Christ brought to mankind with His sacrifice and salvation. It cannot be that a wonderful life celebrated by Pete Spivy could go unrecognized by the God Creator of all that is! We are all relieved that Pete suffers no more and that he will enjoy the glorious eternal life that Christ promised. We who knew Pete are grateful for the experience and for the memories of a life celebrated with courage, spirit and good humor! Those memories will live forever! Pete was a great representative of the Long Grey Line and embodied its true significance: To lead in all circumstances! He did it with great gusto! From all his classmates, Pete: Be thou at peace! |
