Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Darrell Peebles on October 17, 2001:

Can their be any more heroic sports persona than the quarterback of the Army Football Team? People say he was a good guy. Goes with the territory. People say he was heroic, goes with the territory. Many people remember him as a warm and caring, but serious human being. goes with the territory. You can't be the leader of a football team of great minds and great character just by having a strong arm. You have to have the traits that "Go with the territory", and oh what a glorious territory. Wins and losses are really meaningless in that role. The guts, strength, character, desire, and class it takes to give you all on that field of friendly strife, that's what I will always remeber about Kingsley Fink. He fit the job description.
