Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Tod Ossmann on October 23, 2009:

I did not know J Kingsley Fink but I knew of him. He was the Army QB at the first football game my Dad ever took us to, one where Army faced a well coached Rutgers at Piscataway NJ. I am not sure what year it was but I seem to recall Army prevailed 35-28 and Fink made a lasting impression on this young boy if only for his name. I've always remembered his name and occasionally recalled that day and Fink with Dad. I went to school at RU after my brother attended West Point for a time so these are the two schools I follow. I was sorry to learn of J Kingsley Fink's early demise upon checking his name after the 2009 Rutgers-Army game. I was glad he had his career though and had such character as shown by previous entries. I know he must have been a good leader.
