The passing of Pete Jurusik was a loss to his family and friends. We lost this dear friend too soon and shortly before a reunion of his West Point Class of 1976. Those of us at the reunion would have greatly appreciated a conversation with him to learn about his family and his career accomplishments. I was honored by having gone through RECONDO Week at Camp Buckner with Pete as my "RECONDO Buddy". He helped me through physical and mental challenges that brought out a best performance by our team. Pete hailed from the Elmira New York area which is known as the Soaring Capital of the World. He truly soared above many but also lifted others to soar with him. Be thou at peace. |
