You were the first officer I met that took an interest in his team and worked to make them better men. You taught me more than most. We spent long nights in the field discussing strategies and problem solving. Mostly we laughed about my Cousin Pete with whom you graduated from the Point. Sorry I did not know sooner of your passing. I would have made the effort to be there and say good-bye. God Speed.... |
