| Along with a Navy officer, Mike and I rented a house on the beach outside Fort Ord (our first duty station). He was am athletic center-fielder on our softball team, a willing participant in our bachelor-pad beer busts, and an insightful infantryman who we knew would go on to do great things. He was a gift to '77, our Army, and our Nation. Well done, my friend; seize the high ground. |
