Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Leo Cody on January 6, 2012:

Seeing Larry's name brought back a flood of memories to me.
- There was the time he invited a bunch of us to his home (Seemed like he knew everyone in Lavelle and Pottstown).
- The away Army football games at Penn State (Seemed like he knew everyone there too.)
- The Class Reunion when he showed up with no advance registration, no football ticket, no hotel reservation and just quietly slipped into the back of the Alumni Review Formation at the last possible moment (Just like old times.)
- And finally the last time I saw him; a few beers at an Irish Bar in NYC, peking duck in Chinatown, and goodbyes at the train station.

Larry was the kind of roommate that you wanted as a plebe at West Point. He was not fazed by academics or upperclassmen. He always did his share of the work and then some. He had the best stereo system yet he valued a good night's sleep.

I am not surprised that he was involved in humanitarian work because he was always there for his family and his friends.
