I'd only known Jody a short time -- an acquaintance as many were but in that time (6 years) I saw such a great change in him -- he grew happier and more content. He was a great guy to be around, he listened (never one for talking about anything of substance in his own life). But even the majority of us who just knew him as a buddy, knew that over the last few years, his life had gotten better. He proudly showed pictures of his first grandchild -- Aidan, was proud of his daughter Dana and his only son Shawn who was going back to school -- Had a strong friendship in Robin his friend from Maryland, who he told us was the one person that he could let his hair down with (hair?). He spent many weekends in Maryland with Robin and her family. Jody, I hope the happiness you found in the end stays with you forever.
